Carcassone

Carcassone in Southern France is a whole town fortified against the Catholics in 1220 AD.

Kings, Knights and Castles

Castles were for Kings and Knights and Lords and servants. They were also meant for armour and other things.

First castles were made from stone or brick, with a moat.

There were tiny windows, long and skinny to firearrows out of, and so attackers couldn't fire arrows into.

There wer booby traps so people couldn't get in

Let me tell you about Canada, the worlds second largest country

Canada is the second largest country in the world, with a total area of 9,970,610 km.

The highest mountain is called Mount Logan, which is 5,951 metres high. The longest river is called the MacKenzie, and is 4,241 kilometres long.

10% of the worlds trees are located within the country of Canada. They use the bark for making paper.

The population of Canada is 30.3 million, and surprisingly, 75% of Canadians live within 100 kilometres of the United States.

The country of Canada exports: paper, machinery, petroleum, vehicles, aluminium, timber and wheat.

Let Me Tell You a Little About Italy ...

In the South of Italy people are poor. The climate is hot and it can get very dusty.

In the north of Italy, there are a lot of big industrial cities. The weather in the north is cool and wet. the Environment in the north is good for farming.

In the big industrial cities, the factories make cars, clothes, shoes, olive oil, wine, machinery and material.

The country of Austria used to govern over Italy. However the Italians revolted against the Austrian rule. It took two attempts to overthrow the Austrians.
